城市其實就是中國神話怪獸饕餮的化身，牠胃口極佳，吞噬一切永不饜足。舌頭襲捲獵物的距離無遠弗屆，無論是極地的魚蝦，天山的雪蓮，地底的金銀全被吸入石陣組成的巨齒，碾碎吞下。只要城市裡一小撮貴婦，穿戴珠寶翡翠暗中較勁，千里外的禿山便有上萬人衣衫襤褸地做牛做馬。只要幾個名士優雅地啜飲極品茗茶，百里外的原始森林便被焚燒墾伐，只需兩三個商人談好價碼，與世無爭的犀牛便得倒在自己的血泊中……。
城市將世上一切物產的精華，全吞噬入肚，它總會回報一些酬勞或恩澤給大地吧？！才怪！這恐怕比叫流浪狗吐出肉包子還難，它只能還給大自然日夜不歇的污煙瘴氣。分秒不停的臭水，一車又一車的糞便，一山又一山的垃圾，還有不知偷扔到哪才好的核廢料。為了進步，我們還渴望更多、更大的城市……天哪！

Taipei City
The city in fact is the incarnation of gourmand, a Chinese mythological monster. It has extremely great appetite, swallows up everything, and never feels satiated. Its tongue could take over quarries in distance. Fishes and shrimps in the polar region, snow lotus herbs at Tien Shan (celestial mountains), gold and silver in underground are all sucked into the mouth of gourmand and grinded by the giant teeth made of stones. Only few peeresses compete each other by wearing jewelry and jadeites, and there would be hundreds thousands people shabbily dressed lead a dog’s life on bare hills thousand miles away. Only few gentlemen elegantly drink very fine tea, and the primitive forest hundred miles away would be burn down and cultivated. Only two or three traders settle down the price, and rhinoceros live an unassuming life would be gun down in their own blood….

The City swallows up the quintessence of all commodities on the world. Will it pay back some rewards or favor to the land? No! This is probably more difficult than making a stray dog throw up the meat bum it just ate. All the city could pay back is air pollution day and night, stinky water running every second, load over load of excrements, trashes from one hill to another, and the nuclear waste have nowhere to dump secretly. In order for progress, we yearn for more and bigger cities…OMG!
