美國雪佛蘭石油公司，多年來在亞馬遜河探勘石油、傾倒龐大的有毒廢料，透過河流及地下水的擴散，將原本是世外桃源的天堂國度，變成了毒龍潭。當地原住民持續受到不明病痛折磨，離最近的醫院要八小時，族人陸陸續續被癌症帶走。隨著河裡魚群消失，只能仰賴少數家禽為生。不斷出生的畸形兒，更是讓族群難以為繼。身為美國第二大的石油能源公司，始終不願對汙染負起任何責任。以美國國力的優勢，加上法律的善解，冗長的官司應該可以順利打到下個世紀。
無論地下黑金藏在地球那個角落，只要沒被發掘佔領，都能提供各大石油公司各顯神通，遊戲規則是趕在別人還沒榨乾之前趁早下手。反正被吸吮的土地最後註定要淪為爛攤子，因此肆無忌憚地掠奪，不到盡頭絕不可罷休。何況普世相信只要你有錢，法律、公理都比較容易站在你這一邊。我們羨慕富人，討厭窮人，原始、貧窮、落後原本就該接受懲罰，不是嗎？

Chevron, the American petroleum company, has explored oil in Amazon River for years and poured a lot poisionous wastes into water. Through the river and underground water, the Utopian and paradise-like place is seriously polluted as a deeply toxiated land. The local aborigines continue suffering from unknown illness and pain. The nearest hospital is a traffic of 8 hours. Villagers one after another are taken away by cancers. As fish flocks in river gradually disappear, villagers could only rely on very few domestic fowls. The deformed inphants make the succession of the community increasingly difficult. As the second largest oil and energy providers in America, Chevron is not willing to take any responsibility. With the advanatge of national power as America, plus the fully understanding of law and compliance, the long-winded lawsuit could be continued into the next century.
No matter where the underground black gold is hided, at any cornor of the Earth, so long as not occupied or discovered yet, major petroluem companies would do their best to show their special prowness. The game rule is to start over as early as possible before others do not yet use up. In any case, those absorbed lands eventually meant to be awful mess. So they have to pillage recklessly and never give up till the end. Moreover, universally, people believe that so long as you have money, law and self-evident truth would be prone to stand by your side. We envy the rich and hate the poor. The primitive, needy and backward supposed to be punished, doesn’t it?
