Riverbed
時候一到,要水的人會築起水壩,截走清流;
要建材的人會掏光每一立方黑金;

Riverbed

On the riverbed there are silver waves of wild sugarcane, hares, groupers, skylarks, and clear fresh spring water gushing from gravels, in which all contain low economic values.
Upon the right timing, people who need water would build up water dam and cut out clean water;
people who need building materials would scoop out each cubic meter of black gold;
people who need timbers would go hew down forest inside the watershed area,
the wrapped drainage pipes for waste water would secretly extend into river bank,
the smelled heavy smoke from trash-burning would linger around river bank over and over.

Whether in the past or in the future, eventually each riverbed would be forced to sing the same song. There will be variations of musical tones and melodies in this song and they are all linked to the same subject with regularly-repeated phrase. Each river starts with a high-pitched clear single note, goes more turbid and murky tone, and stops at broken and dried-up. Human being is a conductor without much sense of pitch. He could not guarantee harmony performance with each clear musical note. So he tore scores apart, blended it, took one part away, and infused improvised stomps and musical instruments throw-down! Such music already emerges into main trend and abundantly praises the pale kingdom of drought.

Perhaps it is merely about riverbed, sooner or later our community, our descendants, and our civilizations would be like the out-of-tone river, put the rest together.
