被切割的海岸
大自然生養繁衍的畫面，總是在慈愛的同時呈現殺戮。
豹噬羚羊、獅撲斑馬、蛇吞鼠、鳥吃蟲、大魚吃小魚。
但無論多麼血腥殘暴，他總是有個界限。
獅子不會去抓魚、豹不採水果、蛇不吞犀牛、鳥不補鯨、大魚不追羚羊。
更何況他們吃飽了就很滿足，只有極少數物種會囤積冬季的糧食。

可是人，人多麼不同啊！
哪裡有界限，他便設法跨過去，他什麼都試，包山包海，生吞腐燴，煎炒煮炸，樣樣鑽研。動物是一定要吃的，植物則仔細分成食用、藥用、建材。連礦物微生物都不能倖免，能吃就吃，不能吃就拿來穿，不能穿就拿來蓋，無一不絞盡腦汁使他「有用」。文明的步履便是這樣一路踩過去，最糟的是人很愛囤積，不只為自己囤積，更為父母兄弟、妻兒子孫、宗族後代…來生…沒個底限。

唉！我們越過太多太多界限了，多到連自己都搞不清自己在哪裡了。
大地隨著夜幕沉沉睡去，不過除了人，已沒有多少生靈能再醒來。

The Segmented Seashore

The propagating scene in the Nature is always presented in affectionate as well as slaughtering way.
Leopards eat gazelles, lions kill zebras, snakes swallow rats, birds eat worms, and large fishes dine small fishes.
No matter how bloody and violent the scene is, there are always limits.
Lions won’t catch fishes, leopards won’t pluck fruits, snakes won’t swallow rhinoceros, birds won’t capture whales, and large fishes won’t chase gazelles.
Moreover, they are very contented upon fully-fed. Only very few animals will store up food provisions for winter.

Man is such different case!
He will make sure he could trespass over wherever there is limit. He tries everything from mountains to oceans. From raw foods to well cooked, fried, sauté, boiling, deep fried…all is his specialty. Animal is definitely edible while plants have to be carefully divided into different categories including edible, medical, and constructive uses. Even minerals and microorganism are not exceptional. If it is edible, men will eat it up. It is not edible, men will use for clothing. For those which cannot be worn, they would be used for construction anyway. He makes the best efforts to make sure everything is “useful.” The path of civilization has been like that all the way. What is worst is that men love to store up not for themselves only, but also for parents, family members, spouses, children and grandchildren, and descendants…next life…no limitations.

Alas! We have trespassed too many limits and boundaries to figure out where we are now.

The land falls into deep sleep as the night falls. Other than men, there won’t be many living creatures waked up again.
